Grammy award winning producer MaryAnn Tanedo received her B.A from the University of Pennsylvania with a double major in finance and management as well as a double minor in economics and emphasis on marketing.
Combining her knowledge of production with her passion for film, MaryAnn has produced countless music videos and commercials for some of the world’s top production companies HSI, Propaganda Films, Palomar Pictures and RSA. Tanedo has worked and trained along side some of the industries leading directors such as Dominic Sena, David Fincher, Herb Ritts, Jean Baptiste Mondino, Michael Bay, John Hillcoat, Mark Romanek, Paul Hunter, Paul Andresen, Angela Alvardo and the Hughes Brothers.
Tanedo has garnered numerous Grammy and VMA nominations collaborating with director Joseph Kahn as his Producer on high profiled music videos for Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Faith Hill, Dre, Kelly Clarkson, Maroon 5, Eminem, Juanes, Moby, Gwen Stefani, M.I.A, Jamiroquai, Enrique Iglesia, Joss Stone, Pussycat Dolls, Kylie Minogue and Ricky Martin among Tanedo was honored with a Grammy for Latin superstar Robi Rosa’s Video of the Year “Mas e Mas”directed by Angela Alvarado. Received nomination for Country Music Awards for Faith Hill’s, “The Way you Love Me” for video of the year. In 2010 after the tragic event that shattered the lives of millions in Haiti, Tanedo teamed up Joseph Kahn and Simon Cowell to produce the monumental music video “Everybody Hurts” starring Miley Cyrus, Robbie Williams and Take That. This effort was to put a spotlight on the devastation and suffering of millions of Haitian people and to raise money for the Haiti Relief Fund.
In 2012 teamed with Paul Boyd on video for the most expensive electronic video, Deadmau5, Professional Griefers featuring Gerard Way which also unveiled the UFC Jones vs Henderson pay per view match. In 2013 teamed with Sheldon Candis director of film, Luv with Denzel Washington, Charles S Dutton, Common and Danny Glover to film J Cole’s “Crooked Smile” in New York. MaryAnn recently produced the feature film “Detention” starring Josh Hutcherson (Hunger Games) which premiered at 2011 SXSW Film Festival. The cult favorite film directed by Joseph Kahn was picked up by Sony Pictures World Wide. Tanedo’s passion for producing doesn’t stop with music and film.
In 1997 during the summer, MaryAnn produced her first independent feature, “The Stonecutter.” During the summer of 1999, she produced the independent documentary, “The Burning Man.” Over the years she has donated her time to produce worthwhile causes such as Rock the Vote campaign and Project AIDS Awareness L.A.
